Hi all,
Before I buy, I'd like to know if I could repurpose a V2860n as a wireless access point please?
Ideally I'd like to connect the "AP" up to a linux router that already has multiple NICs. Each NIC on the linux router has it's own subnet, and I'd like to run cat5e from each NIC to a segregated/VLAN'd gigabit LAN port on the V2860n. I do hope this makes sense!

The overall plan is to achieve 3 completely segregated SSIDs running over 3 matching LAN ports on the V2860n...

I hope this makes sense...

Yes, you can. Disable DHCP and give it a LAN IP address in your main subnet.

Ahhh great!!! I'm hoping it'll be straight forward to:

-create 3 different vlans
-associate 3 LAN ports with these vlans
-associate 3 ssids with the same vlans

Aside from a V120, I've no experience with Draytek products

Why buy a Vigor2860 just to use it as an access point though ?

Because it'll work with my Linux router. Unless a single access point will do?
But I'm wanting 3 separate interfaces so that each NIC has its own LAN port with VLAN.
