HTTPS web filtering was created by quantiq
Hello,

We have a 3900 and have bought the web filtering bolt-on from cyren.

We want to block porn.

This works fine on HTTP but still lets through HTTPS. The syslog says says it is flagged as porn but still lets it through. How do we rectify this please as most sites are HTTPS these days?

Thanks

Nick

I don't use the DrayTek web content filter myself. However, why not use OpenDNS to block it?
It is especially effective if you block DNS requests on port TCP & UDP 53 to the client PCs, notebooks etc. and direct DNS requests through the router.

You need to use the DNS filter thing...see if there's an FAQ on it..but it should be possible.
I assume you've subscribed to globalview already.

Really, so they make me pay an extra subscription to a web filter (cyren) that does not actually work? I find that hard to believe especially as it says "enable for HTTPS" next to the filter option?

I have a case open with Draytek now and will let you know what they come back with.

Thank you for the replies.
