This might seem a strange question, but is there an approved way to power down my router 'gracefully'? I usually leave mine on all the time but occasionally I have the need to power it down, and unplugging it from the mains seems very abrupt.

Grateful for you comments.

There is no method other than turning off the switch, which does the same as pulling the plug out of the back. Those are preferable to cutting the mains, but none should make much difference as, unlike a PC there is no NV write activity in operation unless you were administering it at the time.
