2860n ports not opening was created by adoran
Hi,
first time playing with Draytek and massively underwhelmed.
Trying to get to an HTTP server behind router with DNS and the follows happens:

can get to management port on router via dns. Changed it to 8080 for conflict avoidance.
I can see the request for the server via DNS thru router to IP address via nat sessions table pointing at Lan IP
however the ports for http 80 and this server are closed when checked with ismy port open.

I have followed all of the examples - what am i missing.

Tech support seem to be disinterested beyond belief and this is a last effort before the router gets kicked out for a Netgear.
Any suggestions?
Regards
Anthony

you need to open the port (80) on your router. Assuming your internal webserver is on port 80, then:

NAT | Open Ports, select your WAN interface, port number and internal IP of the server

If you want to translate port 81 externally to port 80 internally, then use the NAT | Port Redirection option and fill in 81 against the WAN interface and port 80 against your internal IP

Easy :-)

Thank you for the suggestion, yes I have already done these things and still cannot get the ports to open which is what is driving me potty.
I can get to the management port which I set to 8080 and when I check the port on the dyn or ismyportopen it is open, but any other port inc 80 is closed -
Would you be interested in looking at the router to see if I have cocked up some of the config?
regards
Anthony

Nat Sessions Table

am i correct in assuming that the router has received the request and has passed it to the correct internal ip address and port from this data?

Support from Draytek engineers and it would seem that all of the setup appears okay - intact they took the config and tested on their systems and it operated as per spec.

They suggested that there could be an issue with BT routing the return packets a different route that could possibly prevent the http from loading.

Will pass to BT to assist in resolving this issue - not sure how we get to the router remote management page and not get to the default http port 80!!
Will advise when BT reponds.

If the config seems correct, are you sure you have the correct WAN IP address for external visitors?
