Summary
On our Vigor router, using ADSL, I presume the normal procedure is to enable VLAN Tag insertion (ADSL) ?
Do I need to configure the Vigor to use either of the ADSL or VDSL VLAN Tags, or can I turn them both off ?
Will this make any difference to the ADSL connection speed - or mess up user connections ? (Single subnet)

Information
We are using a Vigor 2860ac at home where generally up to 16 connections are made. This includes mobile phones etc. Users are connected usually by wifi to the 2860ac. Only I use an ethernet connection.
In the WAN 1>> General Setup, there is an entry VLAN Tag insertion (ADSL) and VLAN Tag insertion (VDSL2).
When on ADSL, I presume the normal procedure is to enable VLAN Tag insertion (ADSL). Is that correct?

As we are on ADSL and slightly more than 2km from the exchange (using G.dmt Annex A), we are usually connected at between 3.5-4.3 mbps.
You can understand that I am interested in squeezing the last kbps out of the download speed as VDSL will not reach us for some time.
Will disabling both the VLAN's have any effect at all on home users - especially on the speed of connection?

Finally, we note that the supplied basic PlusNet router gets almost up to 5mbps, but does not handle multiusers as well as the Draytek. Any comments?

As far as I remember VLAN tag insertion is not used for ADSL, only for VDSL

VLAN tag disabled on ADSL.
