Hi,

Could someone please explain the purpose of the 'Drop PPPoA' in 'Online Status'?

Thanks

It will drop the connection and then immediately remake it, logging in with CHAP again or whatever. It's useful sometimes if a connection has gone stale at the ISPs end, to force a new connection.

Thank you Admin
That's very helpful.

Am I right in thinking that using this means that the ADSL line training does not start again? ..... I also wondered if there was a way to deliberately restart the line training?

That correct; the line sync. will remain up.

I think there's another button for resync. but can't exactly remember.
