Hi,
Currently have a Asus ac68u running Merlin firmware running on sky with an openreach modem.
Looking to transition to a vigor 2860ac router to get far more control over the internet access, and also to protect us better from the nasties out there.
Searching the forum, there is very little about sky, which is surprising, or may be not... I can't register for the main knowledge base as I haven't got the box so have no serial number... so I have very little to go on about this box.
Can I get some real feedback... Can I eliminate the openreach box?
How easy is it to get setup on sky? I have all the security info already...

it is easy on a 2860 series to connect up to Sky. My brother and mate did it, and I use a 2925 and a 130 vdsl modem to achieve the same.

I did find that cloning the Sky routers WAN MAC seemed to help, although some guides suggest you don't need to.

I have taken the plunge, and got it set up quite easily on Sky's system with ipV6 as well. All seems well

Now to learn how to set up all the Filtering options ... Any "getting Started" guides on this?

I've not ventured into the ipv6 side of things yet..... Nicely done!

Can you share what IPv6 settings you used. Cant seem to enable ipv6 with my sky connection.
