Got a Draytek 2860ac with firmware 3.8.4.6_BT

I was wondering - How often does your router reboot (if at all)?

I haven't got any VPN's going on, nothing more than I would consider "normal" traffic going through it...
CPU at about 30%, memory at about 80%...

It can reboot once a day or so, but today has driven me nuts as it's rebooted three times so far.

Just spotted the new firmware, so I am going to try that...

But also wondering how best to keep a log of this occurring? (As if I am not using the net / wireless, I don't notice).

Regards

I've recently changed from a 2860n+ to a 2925ac because I wanted the ac and to use my 130. However the 2860 was on 3.4.8.6 and didn't reboot itself very often, maybe every couple of weeks as I recall.

30% CPU seems very high - mine normally runs at about 2%.

I've only ever seen 2% etc when (effectively) there is no one on the system...

But - How do you find out what's using the CPU cycles?

And even so, processor running at 40% shouldn't be causing it to crash so often.

Latest firmware is on, and now my FTTC is wobbly as hell. Great!

Certainly looked at a bunch of other 2860s who's up times are in the several hundred to thousands of hours...

So either something on the network is causing the reboots (if so.. what?) Or I've just got a duff router.

You can check the sys ver debug message from telnet to check the reason why it rebooted. Tech support can diagnose the output.
