Good day folks. I've got a strange one which I cannot seem to find any resolution to

When I log in to my 2860n and try to edit a setting, I get the following error message..

Authorization Error !

Browser not authentication-capable or authentication failed.

I get this on any computer, any browser, even an via an iPad.

can anyone assist in fix or reason why this has occurred? Really don't want to go down the route of a factory reset if I can help it. Of course, I have a config backup, but, when I try to do a restore, I get the above error.

So, over to you folks...can anyone help?

Many thanks

Andrew

Its similar, but different...ha ha...I've just come across this one on here which is the same error, same device, but no apparent resolution. The firmware is one behind the current / latest - but, I don't know how I can carry out a firmware upgrade because I cannot carry out any commands due to the error

Anyone know if there is a command to run via telnet to carry out a firmware upgrade?

Issue resolved by upgrading firmware by enabling tftp mode using telnet, then use the firmware upgrade utility..If working remotely to a site, remember that when you enable tftp mode, you will loose your connection, needs to be done onsite.

Phew.................
