How do I view FEC and CRC errors for VDSL on a 2850?

"vdsl status" does not work at the command line, "adsl status more" does, but are they correct for a VDSL connection?

(I am experiencing dropping connections and want to monitor the CRCs)

thanks

Nope!

both "vdsl status" and "vdsl status more" both return "command missing"

(I am running the latest firmware)

Well , I would factory reset in that case.

( Checking on my Vigor 130 adsl status and vdsl status give the exact same results. )

The Vigor 2850 has a different VDSL modem design from later hardware, all of the VDSL information is located under the VDSL menu and what you're looking for should be located in [VDSL] > [VDSL Status]
