2820 firmware upgrade failure 3.3.9 was created by akwe-xavante
Just updated the routers firmware from 3.3.8 to 3.3.9 and i get the message:

File System Invalid.
The file system of Web-based UI is inconsistent with router's firmware.
Please check the firmware version.

When i try connecting to it to login.

I know its rebooted and it's connected to the internet and a VPN tunnel has successfully reconnected.

What's gone wrong and how do i correct the problem?

Logged in via SSH using putty

i get a message that reads "router refused to allocate pty"

The command sys version gives me:

> sys version
sys version
Router Model: Router Version: 3.3.9_232201 Basic
Profile version: 3.0.0 Status: 1 (0xc85623c6)
Router IP: 192.168.1.1 Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Firmware Build Date/Time: Feb 5 2018 15:48:28
Router Name:
Revision: 71154 drayos2009
ADSL Firmware Version: 232201_A Annex A

Enabled the tftpd server and trying to upgrade / reflash the firmware using the firmware upgrade tool fails to even establish a connection, i'm assuming that this is because i'm trying to do this through a vpn tunnel.

Unfortunatly the router is a tad over 230 miles away, bugger so i'll have to wait until i next visit the property to try again.

Any help and advice before i travel would be very much appreciated

Sorted.

It took several goes but i managed to reflash the routers firmware in the end.

Now my VPN tunnel is broken!

I'll open a new topic in the hope of getting a little help with it. As far as i can tell all the settings are correct and a vpn tunnel is established but i can't get access to my mapped drive in the office back home for some reason.
