2862ac Slow to allow network access was created by miller75
I have just installed a Vigor 2862ac using the latest firmware (3.8.8.2_BT), the connection to the internet is fine. The problem is when a device starts up it takes approximately 1 - 2 minutes for the 2862 to allow access to the internet or even the router admin page, this happens on every device I have whether its cabled or wireless.

I have tried setting my ip and dns servers manually and it still doesn't work so I guess its not an issue with the DHCP, I have also double checked the connection is set to Always On

I get "Local User (MAC=my mac address): 192.168.1.99:50081 -> 216.58.208.131:443 (TCP) close connection" in my syslog until I am allowed access

I am guessing its a setting I have missed but I cant find it!

Well 216.58.208.131 is Google, so the device assigned 192.168.1.99 has opened, or tried to open a Google search page.

Certainly sounds like a miss configuration somewhere. If online Status > Physical Connection is showing that you have connected to the internet, I would take a look at Diagnostics > Routing Table to see if anything obvious is wrong.

Thanks for the reply John, its definitely connected. If I am on my laptop after the initial 2 minutes i can browse the internet fine, if I start another up I still have to wait. Also I have just tried login off and login with a different user and I dont have to wait the initial 2 minutes, I am guessing that its something to do with the handshake between the devices and the router?

This is the output from the routing table, I cant see anything wrong here but to be honest routing is a bit beyond me

The routing table looks fine, so something weird is going on. Does this happen for both wired and wireless connections?
