Remote access to devices was created by joshkai
Apologies to everyone if this has been raised already.
One of our clients does not allow for any 3rd party companies to remotely logon to their network and so we have installed a new Draytec 2862 4G router, we have 2 devices that are connected via ethernet cables that we need to remotely access,
I have been told the port for the devices is 80 and now we need to enter an IP address into the devices, what will we need to do to the router to enable this access, I have been told its something about port forwarding and static IP address ?
Can anyone list the full steps or send a link?

Port 80 is for accessing the router itself example: 123.345.678.900:80

login to router and go to LAN > Bind IP to MAC
Identify the devices MAC addresses and bind them to an IP address of your choice. Add a comment to identify the device. Right it all down!

Go to NAT > OPEN PORTS

Click on first index and set it up, Add a matching comment to identify the device, enter the matching IP address for that device, decide on a port number and enter it as the start and the end port. click ok
Repeat the process for the 2nd device. Right down the port numbers you chose.

If your WAN ip address is as an example 123.456.789.900 and you chose port number 3641 for the 1st device then to access that device within the LAN over the internet remotely enter 123.456.789.900:3641 into a browser address bar of your choice

If your WAN ip address is as an example 123.456.789.900 and you chose port number 2746 for the 2nd device then to access that device within the LAN over the internet remotely enter 123.456.789.900:2746 into a browser address bar of your choice

Note the use of a colan at the end before entering the port number.
