2830 to 2862 Configuration transfer was created by leighwhitling
Hi All

I am looking at upgrading 7 routers which are currently DrayTek Vigor 2830 SB Version to Vigor 2862. I don't want to have to configure each router up again as its not a simple configuration on each.

Both old and new routers are on Firmware 3.8.8.2 and I have tried backing up the configurations and then restoring them to the new routers but i get an error of "Fail: The input model is not supported by converter".

Is there a process that i need to follow in addition or is it just not possible to restore from a 2830 to 2862?

Thanks in advance

The 2862 doesn't appear to have the functionality to upgrade from anything other than the 2860. The 2860 can upgrade from the 2830, so you could obtain one, purely for this purpose.

You'd like to think, that with 7x2830's and 7x2862's Draytek would help you out...
