Allowing Fotnite on V2860N was created by icarusbop
Hello:

I've tried monitoring and opening ports, but still cannot get Fortnite to work through my V2860n
Currently the only way I can get it to work is by turning off the web filtering altogether which is obviously not good.

Has anyone managed to get a proper list of ports for this and can help?
Thanks

I don't know why you need to open anything. I've used Fortnite and it just worked.
Do you have some content filtering enabled?
Are you running some sort of server?

Hello thanks fro your response, I have the content filtered by the WCF content filter system with the subscription, I do have games allowed, but it still does not work.
At the moment I have to switch off all content filtering completely to get it to work, this leaves my children exposed to the less savoury parts of the web.

Hello, had the same problem on mine.

The WCF category "Criminal Activity" has just started to block the match making service connection to epic games.

I had to go into CSM - My WCF Profile - Black/White List - Enable - Pass - Edit - Keyword Object - Create a new object - Contents = matchmaking - ok everything. That "fixes" the problem.

The only Urls I could find during match making are these:-

fortnite-matchmaking-public-service-live-prod-b.ol.epicgames.com
fortnite-mm-svc-pub-live-b-415831441.us-east-1.elb.amazonaws.com
account-public-service-prod03.ol.epicgames.com

Tested against CYREN they show as "gaming", the amazon one shows as something else (cant remember). Looks like I'm missing one that is classed as "Criminal Activity"

My solution works for now and better than opening up that Category.

Good Luck

Please check the router's syslog output when it's blocking Fornite's matchmaking service, that will mention which URL has been put into which category. Syslog guide
If there are URLs that you think are incorrectly categorised, please suggest the correct categories to Cyren from here:
