Vigor 130 slow was created by apotts
Just hoping that someone from Draytek might read this, when thinking about the Vigor 140...

The 130, I have found, syncs at pretty low speeds. My cab reports itself as: BDCM:0xa48c (164.140) / v0xa48c
The alternative firmware for the 130 stops the modem from even syncing.

These speed tests are done by an agent on my network, so are real download speeds and are affected by other users. Sync speeds are 49 for the Vigor 130, 52 ish for the HG612 and 62 ish for the Zyxel VMG8324-B10A.

I can't help on the v130 issues (but I do have one as well, so I'm curious).

What tool are you using to perform the tests?

I use a Vigor 130 and find it comparable to, if not better than, my Vigor 2862. I did have to tweak my SNR margin though. See here https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/draytek-vigor-130-and-fttc-snr-setting-increased-sync.18795691/

I managed to get an extra 8Mb/sec (40 to 48Mb) by tweaking my SNR, mine is now set to -35 which gives me a margin of 3dB
