Hi,

According to the dashboard of the Vigor2860ac I have

Connected : Down Stream : 43936Kbps / Up Stream : 12787Kbps

However according to my ISP I have speed of around 78 mbps down (not sure on the up)

Can anyone suggest why it appears that the router is throttling the speeds?

Hello @isdoo,

Who's your ISP? I'm with Zen and the line stats I get are usually a day or so behind appearing after I sync up (Zen get their data from Openreach/BTWholsale's back end systems), but do include date and time of sync.

PlusNet (BT)

This has been around this speed for a while, yet PlusNet say our speed is much faster.

Very odd. My 130/2925 combo is currently reporting slightly higher speeds than the Zen portal is showing, but they're close. Can you show us a pic of the PlusNet stats page?

I do not believe that there is a stats page - I happened to have an email today with my speed.

I ought to add that when I was with BT and complained about the speed they also said my speed was higher than the speed quoted on the router.

So this is not related to PlusNet

So just to be clear, Plusnet are saying that you are getting an actual speed of 78Mbps, not simply that you have signed up to an "up to 78Mbps" package? I'm guessing you may get more help on the Plusnet Community site.
