Indeed - they are saying I should be getting 78mbps

I wasn't sure if there was some throttling setting on the router. Can't find one.

I will install their router later and see what the speed is then, that will either prove it is is the Draytek or prove it is their problem.

Thanks :)

I do not believe that there is a stats page - I happened to have an email today with my speed.

I ought to add that when I was with BT and complained about the speed they also said my speed was higher than the speed quoted on the router.

So this is not related to PlusNet

You can request, via the Plusnet community page for a GEA report that will give you info about your line, interference, distance etc.
In addition http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/ADSLChecker.welcome will give you information about your line, and
there is a bt speed checker / diagnostics, http://www.speedtest.btwholesale.com but it uses Flash.

Note for the last two you must be on a BT owned line, it wont work if your landline for example is provided by Sky.

Thanks. No idea on my phone number, but I tried the first one

http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/ADSLChecker.welcome

Download: 89.17 Mbps / Upload: 6.68 Mbps

Draytek

Connected : Down Stream : 43803Kbps / Up Stream : 12743Kbps

No idea how that can be so fast from BT as doing an online speed check comes in around 40 mbps.

Re Phone number, log on to your account on plusnet, its on the details page, look for Broadband Provided On
Re speeds, I recommend getting the GEA report.

@isdoo

http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/ADSLChecker.welcome

Is an availability checker, and the results displayed are a "prediction" of what sync speed you should get from your line, not your actual sync speed.
