Hi,

I've been having problems with FTTC dropping out, so have a spare Vigor2862 that I intend use prely as a modem, installed by the main BT socket, then connect it via 15m of CAT6 cable to my existing Vigor2860ac in my office. This is so I can prove it's not a problem with the POTS cabling through the house, electrical interference, etc.

I don't want to change the IP address of the 2860ac and keep using it as the DHCP server.

What ports will I need to connect together, and what settings do I need to change on each router?

Any pointers in the right direction will be very welcome. Thanks.

Mark
