I have a brand new Vodafone SIM & Draytek router. The card is for phones & data & is on a monthly contract. Signal strength is excellent (99%) & I have 2 other devices using Vodafone SIMs. The SIM form factor is different to the other devices so I cannot test the SIM.

Configuration is quite straightforward I thought, & I used the quickstart guide to configure the router. For the Vodafone settings I tried both wap.vodafone.co.uk wap/wap & also internet web/web for the APN.

The card shows as "Registered" & it does receive SMS messages into the router inbox. However as the router is not able to fully connect, it goes in a disconnect/ attempt connect circle. Vodafone support is no help at all.

Can anyone help please?

If it's getting SMS messages then the connections fine, so it's something to do with the data/ppp connection and as you suspect, likely the APN/names etc. Does the sim work if you put it into a phone/dongle ?
