Hi all,

I am trying to get a 2860 to send an email in the event of a WAN drop. The mail server is an onsite exchange box and as I couldn't get it to work with authentication, I configured the server to accept unauthenticated emails from the router. I know this works as if I go to syslog / mail alert I can send an email using the test email function. However the exact same settings in mail alert service / mail service objects doesn't produce any results when I either drop the wan on the status page or physical unplug the wan cable. Any ideas as am at a bit of a loss? Am running the 3.8.9.5_BT firmware.
