Does the Draytek 2862 switching take place on a chip or is it proper circuitry?

Not sure i understand the question... What is proper circuitry? You mean a separate chip? I'm not sure why it would matter.

Sorry, what i meant was does it have dedicated switch circuitry or is it all SoC.?

I think it's a mixture but most of the ports come from the SoC...but again, why does it matter to you? The efficiency of the architecture is the important part.

I was just curious as the product performs extremely well compared to other manufacturers.
