Hello, got an odd one here

Have 2862 (latest firmware 3.9.1.1_BT) setup as follows

LAN1 DHCP disabled (our server runs that) 192.168.1.x/24
LAN2 DHCP enabled 10.0.0.x/24

VLAN1 (tied to LAN1) port 1 on router
VLAN2 (tied to LAN2) ports 3-4 on router + all the wifi

Wifi clients pickup a 10.0.0.x IP just fine
Anything plugged into ports 2-3 simply doesn't get an IP, almost as if the DHCP is not working on those ports.

Any ideas...

For reference I have other locations setup as above working fine, the only difference being in those cases is that the Draytek is also running the DHCP on LAN1

Check that you have VLAN tagging turned off on VLAN2 maybe?
BTW: Instead of reporting latest firmware, it would be better to state the actual version - you may not have see the whatever the real latest is, or someone may be reading this in six month's time.

thanks, already tried vlan off / on - it's like the ports are just dead / being blocked

firmware 3.9.1.1_BT

if you set static on wired port3-4 does it work?

are they actually lighting up?

if not telnet to the router and use the port status command.

if ports are disabled its port enable (and the port number).

is lan 2 in genral setup got enable and dhcp ticked?

in VLAN is P2 ticked and on correct lan?

How have you disabled DHCP on LAN1? I thought you couldn't do that (LAN / General Setup has DHCP and DHCPv6 pre-ticked for LAN1 ). I think this is to ensure the DHCP server is started.

Ohh that's a point - it is individual configurable (enable/disable/relay agent/pool settings) in the "Details" panes of each LAN but there is also a per protocol enable setting on the "General Settings" page as @Richard1234 indicates.

There are also more DHCP server bindings in on the "General Settings" page hidden behind an easily missed button under the "General Settings" table at the top of the page.

Whilst it's not necessary to understand the differences of these three types of setting, it should be obvious which way to configure each box...

So it seems that there are three ducks to get lined up in order go make it work....
