I wanted to use a Vigor 130 modem with the Vigor 2862n router. I plugged the ADSL cable into the Vigor 130 then ran a cable over to WAN 2 port on the Vigor 2862. Inputted the ISP login details into the Vigor 2862 but the DSL light never goes solid. When I bypass the modem and go straight to the WAN 1 port with the ADSL cable in the Vigor 2862n router, and thus use the integrated modem on the Vigor 2862n it goes solid and I'm connected. Is there something I have to do in the Vigor 130 settings as I heard it was plug and play. Any advice would be great. Thanks .

If you are in the mainland UK and you have a UK model 130 which is "out of the box" then it should be plug and play. You are using the PPPoE page for your username and password?

I am in the UK ... I got it working after I installed the latest firmware, and it was plug and play. Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it.
