It has worked previously but I have to wonder if the LetsEncrypt checking process is failing due to locking down the management port to IP address/ranges.

I've tried the test from the LetsEncrypt site which fails as it cannot talk to the website on port 80.

If it's this what is blocking it then security overrides functionality.

I've tried with the UK version of 3.9.2 as well - still no joy.

I'll have to try it with the default management port settings.

I use the default ports. Where does one find this "test" on the Letsencrypt site?

It was one of these I believe:

https://letsdebug.net/ or https://check-your-website.server-daten.de/

From https://certbot.eff.org/help/

Thanks for that. I tried the first one, it dials my IP address but the router fails the acme challenge test and the test returns : "Experienced error: net/http: HTTP/1.x transport connection broken: malformed MIME header line: <html> <head> <title>404 Not Found !!!</title> </head>" Can anybody shed any light on this? I tried disabling the firewall but that didn't make any difference.

I've just downloaded and installed 3.9.3 from the international site. On re-booting the Let's Encrypt certificate installed automatically, presumably because all the settings in DrayDDNS were still there from my previous attempts. Just had to tell my i - devices to trust the new certificate and all seems OK so far.....
