Hi,

I hope someone might be able to help with a problem accessing the admin page of a 2862 that we have inherited at a client site.

From the WAN address the login page is available and if I enter the wrong ID or password I get the expected wrong username or password message.
If I enter the correct ID and password I just get login page again with a blank username and password field.

Has anyone seen this before, or know what might cause it?
So far I have rebooted the router.
I have tried connecting locally, but there again there is a problem. I get the initial certificate error message, but if I proceed anyway I just get a, can't reach this page error.
For information I have tried MS Edge and Google Chrome browsers. Both on a Windows 10 Pro PC.

It's possible that the router is configured to only allow access from a specific IP address.

It accepts the UserName and PassWord but won't log you in because your IP address is incorrect.

You could find out if this is true but the previous person / company that set this up is unlikely to help!!

I think you'll have to do a factory reset and start again.

Can you access locally using only http (no https)?

Also can you access via Telnet as an alternative as you may then be able to reconfigure.
