I have just updated my 2860AC firmware using this file https://www.draytek.co.uk/support/downloads/vigor-2860/send/344-vigor-2860/1756-v2860-3897-bt which should be "3.8.9.7 BT" with a Build Date 23rd December 2019 and Release Date 31st December 2019

However, after successfully applying the firmware update the router dashboard now states:
Firmware Version 3.8.4.5_BT Build Date/Time May 12 2017 16:28:21
DSL Version 576D17_A/B/C HW: A

Something looks very wrong regarding version and build date - is this the correct code with incorrect IDs or something else?

That's a big jump back to June 2017...

What firmware version were you running originally?

In the firmware update section on your 2860 if your select your firmware update file (.all) and then select Preview rather than Update what information does it show?

I've just downloaded a fresh copy using same URL (as per link on main firmware download page) and also from the 2860 firmware page.

Do the checksums of the downloaded zip file match those on the download page (on 2860 specific firmware page)?
The SHA1 CRC matches on both my downloads.

The extracted filename I get from both files is v2860_3897BT_576D17.all for the upgrade firmware.

The preview information I get is as follows:

Model Name: v2860
Firmware version: 3.8.9.7_BT
Modem version: VDSL2/ADSL
Current version: 576D17/572801
574307/571801
Upgrade version: 576D17/572801
574307/571801

The current version details will be different as I'm already running 3.8.9.7.

If your information is different please download the firmware file again, I'd suggest to a new folder and then compare this.

thanks - the interesting bit was that on that firmware I didn't get a "preview" option at all

So I just downloaded the file fresh again this morning, checked all the CRCs (were same form yesterday & today) and did the upgrade again, now I get the following on the status screen:

So the upgrade seems to have taken correctly this time! (Odd as I've upgrade 1000s of firmware & routers over my IT career, and never had any issues doing with this before, and no other files on the system for me to accidentally use...)

but thanks - seem to have fixed with "do same thing again"
