USB drive fomrat, FAT32 or NTFS?? was created by kieran-iw
Evening guys,

Is there a possibility to use a NTFS formatted USB drive with the Vigor router?
Is there still a FAT32 restriction of which many sources tell me?

Kind regards, Kieran.

Given that NTFS is a proprietary Microsoft file system , I would have guessed that the answer would be an emphatic "no" - either that or expect the occasional file system corruption...

However to my surprise, at least some Draytek products have claimed to support its use: Vigor 2130 and Vigor 2750 , for example.

You might have to be more specific about which "Vigor Router" you have in mind :!:

Fortunately, I'd hit Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C, before hitting "Submit"
It needs fixing :!: :!: )

It has come back with a vengeance . Tried 4 different browsers and made sure all cookies were allowed , the problem is persistent.
This is a phpBB fault , another forum I was watching has similar issues .Basically phpBB is a very poor piece of software.

The reply below took 5 attempts !!!!!!!

Go to this page, download the User Manual for your router >>>

https://www.draytek.co.uk/support/downloads/vigor-2927

Here it states :

This page allows you to configure the file sharing feature of the Vigor router, where USB mass
storage devices such as thumb drives and hard drives can be made accessible to LAN clients.
Currently, only FAT16 and FAT32 file systems are supported by the Vigor router, so verify that
the USB drive contains these file systems.
FAT32 is recommended because of its long filename
support, which FAT16 lacks.
