2927ac & BT Full Fibre 900 was created by a.wright
Hi,

Having used my trusty 2925ac with BT Infinity 300 for the last couple of years, it can't now deliver the throughput needed for the BT Full Fibre 900 service so when I saw the 2927ac, I thought this would be the perfect replacement.

After 30 mins of setting everything up (it won't import the config from the 2925), I had an external connection and was ready to plug in the rest of the internal network. However I tested the speed and was horrified to see 80Mbps download. I have tried just about every speed test site and the speed ranges from 80Mbps-160Mbps (direct wired connection to router). If I switch back to the 2925, I'm back to circa 400Mbps which is pretty much the max NAT throughput. Interestingly upload speeds on the 2927 are consistently what the service should deliver, circa 110Mbps.

As far as I can tell, all the key settings are exactly the same. Is there anything specific I should be looking for that might be an additional option on the 2927 over the 2925 or have I got a duff one? The knowledgebase guide about connecting to services such as BT unfortunately uses the 2925 as it's example.

Thanks

Andrew

Someone else had a problem when WCF was enabled, but nothing like as bad as yours...

Make sure to use the latest 4.2.0.2 firmware as well, that has resolved an issue with the WAN1 port that could be causing your speeds to drop.

Updating the firmware was the first thing I did when I switched it on so I am on 4.2.0.2.
