Vigor 120 logs was created by custard1
Hi all,

I'm trying to get logs from my Vigor 120 as requested by my ISP. However, it appears the firmware doesn't allow me to access these in the same way as the user guide suggests (from what I read to do with the UK firmware being preconfigured to certain settings). Anything at all I can do to get around this? They've specifically asked for the modem logs rather than the router logs.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Quote from a 10+year old post from the "net".

1. First, connect the 120 to a PC and give it (the 120) a fixed IP address on the same subnet as the router.

2. Now move the 120 onto a LAN port of the router.

3. Connect a patch cable between a second LAN port on the router and the router's WAN port.

You can now address the 120 from any machine on the LAN, using the IP address you gave it in 1.

This won't work with dual WAN setups or MPoA connections though

My question would be why on earth you are still using a dinosaur modem for your connection. it is well past its sell by date , are you stuck on ADSL2+?
