Vigor 130 won't reconnect to web interface

Hello,

Hoping to get some advice, on my modem.

I am trying to set up my new network, and part of this is the Vigor 130. 

After initially setting up the modem as a bridge successfully using the web interface, I later realised when setting up my router I had used the wrong IP username and password. After finding the correct info with wireshark I tried to log into the modem web interface again to update the user name and password. 

However now cannot connect with the modem as I did before. I have tried to factory reset the modem, however this did not work. Any advise on what may be the issue and how I can resolve it would be greatly appreciated.

I have searched the Draytek site but have not found anything that I think would help.

I would like to add that I am not an IT professional, and fairly new to this, however can follow instructions.

These instructions should work with a DrayTek router :

If you have used factory reset the V130 should be back to default settings with admin/admin as access credentials.

If you still can't get access try this :

Connect the modem direct to your PC .

Create a PPOE connection on your PC.

Use these details :


Set a static IP on your PC of 192.168.2.10 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 and the gateway: 192.168.2.1


You should be able to access internet .

Now reconnect the modem to the router and try the Draytek GUI using 192.168.2.1

I'm a bit puzzled - why are you trying to put the user name and password into the modem? Those details go into the router.....

I thought the same thing , if what is stated here :

it's the router that needs factory resetting.

It would help if people wanting assistance gave full details of the kit they are using and what connection they have.

Hello,

I had thought when setting up the modem for sky that it was nessessery to have the username and password for DHCP option 61 details? Eg 7c4ca5123456@skydsl|abcd1234

Like the below setup guide?

Apologies, My router is the RT-AX88u but I have still to set this up properly. That's not part of my current issue. My provider is sky. And I have a BT master socket with VDSL
