Draytek 2862 PCI compliant VPN was created by chrisshuker
Hello All

I am using l2tp with ipsec on draytek 2860 with the smart vpn client at the moment
However I do get quite a few drop offs and hanging with various users

I would really like to use SSL but it failed the PCI scans

I am prepared to replace the 2860 with a 2862 router if it can pass PCI DSS using SSL VPN

Can anybody confirm that 2862 supports this and how best to configure

Thanks

Chris

For those of us not familiar with "PCI DSS", what characteristics would it need to possess, to pass such a test?

(I used to work in this industry, but managed to leave before this stuff was introduced.)

Hi Hornbyp

The requirements are large and varied
The customer has a cloud based scan tool that checks for issues that would stop compliance
I do not have the details on all of the security weaknesses it looks for
The list obviously grows

On the draytek 2860

L2TP with IPSEC VPN - passes all the tests
However the SSL VPN fails on a number of points -certificate linked and a couple not

I just want to know if the 2862 is any different in this respect
