SIP audio dropouts on Vigor 2962 was created by meolskopite
Hi,

We have recently upgraded from a Vigor 2920 to a 2962 but have been suffering from SIP audio dropouts on externally connected SIP users. All port forwarding, open ports and firewall settings have been manually copied across and double checked to be exactly the same on the new device.

The external Mitel Teleworker users are connecting into a Mitel Border Gateway and calling internal users when the issue occurs, after about 30 seconds into the call the audio on the external users end drops, although the internal user still can hear the externals users audio/voice. This happens for around 10 seconds before the call comes back and again is fine for around 30 seconds. It will then either happen again or the call will just drop.

The company who support our Mitel system have it could be to do with ALG but I have turned this off on the Draytek UI and have also turned off the firewall completely to test it but the issue still occurs.

Can anyone help? We have had to go back to the 2920 for now which is a waste of our newly upgraded 1Gbps connection.

Thanks

Stephen

Resolved by turning ALG off using telnet. User interface options didn't seem to turn it off completely.

That's surprising, but thank you for the update. Have you reported this to the DrayTek UK support team at all? If not, we'll see if that can be looked into.

My expectation was that SIP ALG is disabled in the factory default settings.
