As in the title have tried to update the firmware on my 2862ac and it fails every time, with a red warning of firmware damage and to revert back to the previous version. Have downloaded a fresh copy but no change. Am I alone?

Which version/file, the BT one or a different modem code?

It was version 3.9.7_BT. I've never had an issue before, and it reverts to the previous version no problem.

Over the weekend I updated a 2862ac to 3.9.7 no issues.
Maybe worth trying to use the .rst file - though only if you are willing to re-build your config......

It worked OK for me, so it may be one of your settings.

Nothing has changed in a very long time settings wise, and it will take old firmwares. But yes, it could well be a setting although it's a very basic configuration.
