Fixed Public IP SIM for 2620L was created by bigclick
Hi,
I have a 2620L router and I have set it up with a mobile SIM and it works ok. However the goal is to use a fixed IP (Public) SIM for a site to site VPN (other party insists on a fixed public IP for peer).

Can anyone advise on the configuration differences required to use a fixed IP SIM?

Thank you

I thought it was just a case of purchasing a suitable SIM/service from the supplier of your choice?

This is a use case for Draytek's VPN finder service. I have seen a YouTube video explaining it really well from Draytek Australia.....

I always forgot about this, because my Draytek's aren't capable of it.

This article claims:

Draytek wrote: The VPN Matcher service only gives routers directions to locate each other, it does not handle encrypted VPN data at any point.

I can't get my head round that statement ... do you have a link to the Youtube video?

All very interesting...

So it's some form of STUN Server and the VPN itself it established directly.

This person on Stack Exchange , wondered like me, how secure that it - and received re-assuring answers.
