set into tftp mode, lucky if i get 4 pings 192.168.1.1 then goes timeout so unable to use firmware recovery utility.

anyone else any issues?

I don't own a Vigor 2862 ...

...but Page 511 of the manual (Section VII-1-15 Firmware Backup), describes the "Automatic Firmware Recovery" option, which (if it was configured :wink: ),
"restores the backup firmware, if the router unexpectedly reboots three times in a row" ... or words to that effect.

That was configured. got over 200 2862 out in the field all from a default configuration and all have automatic firmware restore enabled.

as this was a rst upgrade not an all perhaps that feature is not re-enabled. dunno but got a brick and will not be upgrading another till spoken with support and possibly sent this one in for testing.

had this before about 18 months ago some would upgrade a couple needed the TFTP reload doing BUT this one is not going into TFTP mode properly.
