2865 4.4. BT Sys ver dbg was created by desquinn
So we are troubleshooting a router rebooting and was using sys ver dbg to see if an exception was logged. However, on 4.4 whcih I just upgraded to it just sits after diusplaying the sys ver output and does not do anything. It seems to timeout and then drop the SSH connection. Web console says "Web Console can not support displaying too much data, please use telnet command." when it did display it previously.

Anybody expereincing the same?

Just checked a Vigor 2865 on 4.4.0 BT's 'sys ver dbg' output in Web Console - that worked without issue *but* the debug log is from 4.3.2.1.

You might want to try clearing the debug log with the "sys ver dbg reset" command: https://www.draytek.co.uk/support/guides/kb-troubleshoot-reboot#debuglog
Since you're seeing frequent restarts, clearing the log may help if another one will occur not long after.

Beyond that, you've tried SSH, you've tried Web Console and Telnet isn't secure. So as a fallback, you could try RDP to a PC and Telnet over the LAN. Not great but it's really odd that SSH is failing (I can't test that one right now).

we had a couple of close together reboots on 4.3.2.1 so the FW upgrade seemed like a good idea. We had another couple of internal / dog food examples running it for a couple of days and had planned to give it a week but needs must.

The SSH was local lan connection and did not want to install telnet to troubleshoot. Think I did a reset previously as have a couple of sample outputs but will do the reset on 4.4. to make sure and see whether it works. Router appears to be more stable after FW update but only at 34 Hours.

Just carried out the reset and it does say excepton info was reset so will await a reboot or issue and check once more.

thanks
