New Router advice was created by mick1
Hi all, I currently have a 2860Vn-plus but it unfortunately it died last night, but on the up side time for something new :D

I need it for home use with Wi-Fi and I also have a 802 plug so being able to integrate this in to the router would be handy

My broadband is with Virgin media and I can go up to 1gb broadband speed so a router that can handle this will be a good future proof upgrade

I currently use my virgin router in modem mode is there a draytek that can do away the need of the virgin router?

Any recommendations welcome

Cheers Mick

you need to keep you VM router as nothing else will deal with the DOCSIS bit. But a 2865 would do the job.

I know this is the Draytek forum and it'd be a cardinal sin to say you should get something different than Draytek. So, I'm going to say: do your research before you get a new router :D
