Vigor 2765ac and Amazon Firestick was created by jonathanc
Hi

I replaced my Plusnet hub with a Vigor 2765ac (for the VPN server functionality) a few weeks ago.
Everything device on the network worked fine except my old Amazon fire tv.
I bought a new fire TV stick and the problem is the same with the new one.

Both firesticks use ethernet (though the issue was the same for wireless).

The firesticks struggle to connect and drop the connections repeatedly for about fifteen or twenty minutes after turning them on.
Eventually they manage to negotiate a connection but slow down repeatedly when watching a programme.
So I guess they drop the connection and buffering hides this somewhat.

When Amazon firestick is connected to the internet no PC on the network has internet access (both PC's and Firestick ago through a NetGear hub).
Internet access is restored to the PC's when the firestick is turned off.

Previously I had a Vigor 2820 running through a BT modem and this had no problems.

I am running at 1488 MTU. I tried changing this but it appeared to have no affect.

Amazon are unhelpful.

Does anyone have any ideas what settings I need to change on the router?

Thanks

Hade a mistake
1484 is the MTU
I did the detect/test tool and this is the correct setting

Also: after about ten to fifteen minutes the firestick works and the PC's do to.
So there is clearly some kind of negotiation going on which kills the network (but not the wireless)
