2865 4G Failover with VPN's was created by draytek_2865_2
Afternoon all,
I am looking to see what options there are with a 4g failover and a usb dongle with lan to lan VPN's configured.
Obviously the 4G won't have a static IP address so will need to use some sort of DDNS setup?
I have never set this up before so looking for any information anyone may have.
Many thanks!

Not as easy as you might assume because of carrier grade nat.
When you switch to mobile the IP you get will become non routable and any dial in connections simple won't arrive even if you use ddns.
The best way to achieve is to have both the dial in and dial out set up at both ends and hope both broadband connections don't fail at the same time.

Thanks for the reply.
We have decided to go with a 4G solution with static IP's so I am hoping the setup will me a little easier.
Thanks!
