I ran the 3.9.9 firmware on my 2862 for a few days, found issues. Gone back to 3.9.8.1!

Over the course of the few days the household noted that UDP traffic for gaming and voice was getting impacted. Bits of packet loss, brief latency bursts etc. Enough that i as household network admin got complaints. Worked fine for anything TCP. The CPU load average on the router was sitting marginally higher than normal (in the 20s instead of 10s), with occasional bursts higher (50-60 instead of 40-50) than they also normally go.

This seemed to line up with big bursts of FECS on the downstream stats. The VDSL modem part of the firmware hasn't changed for ages, so not sure why the VDSL was behaving differently?

anyway, thought i'd post, see if anyone else is getting the same.
