Configuration backups between different models was created by clyde123
Hi, I have an older Vigor 2850Vn and will be replacing with a new Vigor 2865Vac.
I'm assuming I can just copy over the Configuration Backup from the 2850 and install that into the 2865.
Checking in case anyone has any "bewares" to share?

Hi
I think the 2865 only accepts from the 2860, 2862 and 2866... You can back up some of the components like objects, firewall, MAC binds and VPNs...

Many thanks for that, SimonH
I should have searched the Draytek site.
Anyway, much appreciate the link. It does seem that's not a straightforward configuration move.
So I'll do it manually. Sometimes that's best anyway - it cleans out any old redundant stuff that's been lurking unused.
Cheers.
