Hi folks,

Referring to... https://www.draytek.com/support/knowledge-base/4916

I am routing some traffic out via a VPN tunnel but, I wish for some traffic to breakout through the WAN directly.
I have read through the aforementioned guide which mentions that wildcard domains are an option but this does not seem to be the case, or at least they were removed. The absolute domains specified in my lists do work, so for example domain.com routes where I need it to but anythingelse.domain.com does not. There are far too many subdomains and domains to input separately.

I am using a Vigor 2865 running the latest firmware.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions/help.

Best Wishes,
Arran

I don't have a 2865 but on my 2927ax I appear to be able to add a wildcard string object and to select it as the domain in the routing policy, as per the instructions in the article you linked.

Which part of the process do you find doesn't work or isn't present?

I would aim your question to Draytek support, as wildcard works fine on my 3910 and is a very useful feature to have.

I was wondering if you made any progress with this?

I have both a Vigor 2865ac and 2927ax routers and when I use a Routing Policy to divert traffic to a specific website over a VPN tunnel on the 2865ac it doesn’t work. If I replicate the setup on the 2927ax it works fine.

I am wondering if this doesn't work correctly on the 2865 series routers.

Are your clients configured to use your 2865 as their name server?
