I was wondering if it's possible to block automatic firmware updates on my Arlo camera by introducing some firewall rules?

Essentially, Arlo automatically forces firmware updates whenever it deems necessary. The problem is that some of these updates break the functionality of the camera system.

(If you're thinking of getting Arlo, think twice - check their forum for the moans and groans about things being broken because the inept Arlo team sends firmware updates without testing them properly.)

I've now blocked access to the relevant Arlo domains taht are responsible for getting the updates, but I presume that's when the user initiates the procedure. Arlo can force an update, too.

Any way to stop forced Arlo updates by having firewall rules?
