I recently have been switched to BT digital voice, so to keep my phone line I have to plug in BT (actually EE) smart hub 2 (SH2). I want to keep my draytek router as firewall and VPN access

I followed a guide on this forum and have my draytek 2866 running behind the SH2. The draytek running DHCP / firewall etc.  All works fine only snag is  I cannot dial-in (VPN)

The SH2 (IP 192.168.30.1) is set to DMZ (to avoid port forwarding) and points to my draytek which has a static IP (192.168.30.10) and uses gateway 192.168.30.1

The LAN is controlled by draytek running on 192.168.1.XX subnet.  So all devices on LAN work fine as before.

- I use drayDDNS to give provide an IP (this is configured to get internet IP) which it does.
 - Only issue I cannot dial-in via VPN (IPSEC/L2TP) which cannot connect to the draytek router.

Pull my hair out so any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

If its a windows machine you are trying to connect with, the following article may help: https://docs.sim-cloud.net/en/operations/vpn-configurations/troubleshooting/l2tp-trouble/l2tp-ipsec-behind-nat-win.html
