Recording logs from Routers in ACS3 was created by daveb-wist
Hi guys,

We have been using ACS3 for a few months now, but one thing I have still not managed to implement is the ability for ACS3 to record
the SYSLOG's (or the logs) for each of our remote Draytek routers in ACS3 \ Monitoring/Logs \ Syslog.

Is there something that has to be enabled on the Router itself?

Dave

Every time I look at ACS, I'm disappointed it doesn't have a lot of features like graphing WAN traffic and other historical stats and reporting.

I ended up spinning up a local Syslog server on a Debian box using syslogd and pointing the Vigors at it........there are other options around this like log shipping to centralised sources.

I'm not alone then :(.

Is there no way to get the Routers to send the syslog data to ACS?

Hi,

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Is is that the Router needs a local USB drive for storage before it will record data that it can send to ACS?

Thanks :)
