VPN Vista problems was created by mawallace
I installed a Draytek 2820 in my office.
I cannot get Vista to VPN into this!
I have tried all the settings and different protcols but with no sucess. I have tried IP sec, LLTP and PPTP setting on the router in case it is the protcol - but still cannot set it to work
It works thoug with my Windows XP box though.
Could someoone help please!

Same problem here.
It works with PPTP. It won't connect with L2TP/IPSec.

Still trying to get it to work with Vista - no success though
Also, when you finish a PPTP session I sometimes get a Blue Screen of Death at the point that Vista says "Disconneting"!

Stupid question but you have downloaded the latest VPN client for VISTA?

Try using just L2TP without IPsec as my understanding is unless your PC is public facing (Not behind a NAT Router) L2TP IPsec won't work
NAT -> NAT-T
