Vigor VPN server and Linux client? was created by rvsjimbo
Hello,

I have a Vigor 2820 at home and there is a Vigor 3300 on the ship I work on. I can VPN in to both of these from Windows, but so far I have not managed to do it from a Linux client. Has anyone managed to do this, and if so could you please tell me how?

Best Regards,

Paul

I have been able to connect a Linux gateway to a Draytek (2900 and 2600) using IPSec. I have never tried a Linux PC directly to a Draytek.

What sort of VPN are you trying - PPTP, IPSec or L2TP/IPSec (or possibly OpenVPN if your routers support it)?

2900Gi/v2.5.6; 2900/v2.5.6

Well, I was trying to use the PPTP mode of the Vigor VPN server. Someone else has just pointed me to Linux-PPTP ( I was just searching on VPN and somehow managed to miss this package). I haven't actually got it installed and configured yet, but I believe that it *should* work.

Hope to have it working by the end of the day :-)

Best Regards,

Paul
