Ive been running Windows 7 for a few weeks now, but one thing which is really frustrating is that SmartClient doesnt work!

Even if I run in compatibility mode as an XP workstation I get this error-

"OS version not supported"

If try to run a second time, my whole computer blue-screens and reboots on me!

I have just run into this too, as we now have two windows 7 machines...
It just will not connect... are Draytek working on this, or is there a 3rd party VPN software we could use?

What type of VPN are you using? If PPTP, use the Windoze built in one.

If you have it set to auto, it eventually comes back and says can not connect, with it set to

• pptp
  optional encryption
  Allow
  PAP
  CHAP
  MS CHAP v2

You IMMEDIATELY get an error 807 - connection interupted

Have had the same trouble but have found a way to get the Draytek VPN client to work.

Install XP Mode from
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx

Not sure if you need to do this but I have this installed on my Win7

Install the VPN client

When you go to start the VPN client from Start Menu / Programs right click and chose Troubleshoot Compatibility follow the wizard and you should end up being able to run the VPN in Win7

Sounds interesting - must admint I have never used the draytek client - only even the windows one.

Did get the win7 client working, by tweaking it, and disabling AVG firewall.

Is there anywhere to download the client, not sure where the CD is?
