SSL VPN - fails on Windows 7 & IE8 was created by pete421
I have SSL VPN setup and it works find from an XP machine with IE7.

(Vigor 2930)

I have a Windows 7 laptop with IE8 and that gets as far as the "connect" button on the SSL Tunnel tab of the web page. Clicking on this seems to result in nothing happenning.

Is this Windows 7 install x64? Draytek's SSL VPN does not support x64 bit operating systems.

I had similar issues with the Cisco VPN client and Win7-64.

If you are using one of the higher end Windows 7 editions like Ultimate or Professional, try using Windows 7 XP mode. It's a bit of a fudge but it got around the problem with the Cisco client.

Try running that session of IE as admin perhaps? Otherwise make sure protected mode is turned off.

I now have it working!
I thought I would give it another go and to my surprise it worked.
I checked some IE8 settings..
1. My IE8 is in protected mode
2. Compatibility mode is NOT enabled
3. Security is at medium-high level

If you want me to look at any other settings just let me know.
